Back in 1936, during the midst of the Great Depression, Richard S. Holson founded Guarantee Trust (Cornerstone's parent company, today known as Guarantee Trust Life Insurance Company.)
Those were tough times (yes, even tougher than today's recession), but what got the company through the Depression was its focus on three areas:
- Controlled, steady growth, making only conservative investments,
- Impeccable integrity in leadership, and
- Unwavering commitment to doing the right thing for you, our customer.
Today, 74 years later, those same three principles drive both Guarantee Trust Life and Cornerstone Senior Services.
What does that mean for you?
Well, to start with, you get the value of a senior-focused independent agency (Cornerstone) that provides you with unbiased, research-based information and choices. So you can make the right decision for your future needs, without overpaying for coverage you don't need.

Guarantee Trust Life does things a little differently. We don't make risky investments (only 3% of our investments are in common or preferred stock.) We operate within our budget (in fact, our 12/31/08 financial statement shows our assets of $190 million far outweigh our liabilities.)
No government bailout money or corporate extravagance here.
