Danny Gordon, President

Danny Gordon didn't set out to be a business executive. In fact, his dream was to become a doctor.

Danny graduated with honors from Wake Forest University with a degree in Chemistry and was headed to medical school. His dream of being a physician was interrupted with a different opportunity. He chose that different path, and we’re glad he did.

At the age of 22, when most young people are still trying to find their first job, Danny Gordon co-founded Family Heritage Life insurance company. He spent four years building Family Heritage into a thriving company, which is still going strong today.

Based on his success, Danny was recruited by Long Term Preferred Care, where he also helped grow the company from the ground up. Under Danny's leadership as Regional Vice President, sales and recruiting flourished.

In December of 2000, Bankers Life and Casualty hand-picked Danny to be their Divisional Vice President of the Midwest. Once again, Danny
increased sales and expanded recruiting.

After building successful sales organizations since 1988, Danny decided he wanted to work in an environment that most closely aligned with his core values. Danny partnered with Guarantee Trust Life in 2003, and now serves as President of Cornerstone Senior Services.

While his business career has been stellar, Danny would tell you that the most important thing in his life is his faith in Christ and following God's plan for his life.

Danny and his wife, Lisa, are very active members of their church, and strong Christian leaders in the community. Danny also serves on the board of Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association, which he has done so since 2002.

Besides his faith, Danny says being a loving husband and a devoted father to his son, Mitchell, are the most important things. Danny and Lisa have been happily married for over 15 years.

Don Meyer, Vice President of Sales

Don Meyer has a passion for helping people, and it shows through in everything he does.

Don started his professional career in sales back in 1987. While a student at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, he spent his summers selling educational books for The Southwestern Company out of Nashville, Tennessee.

Don quickly made his mark, becoming the number one sales person out of over two thousand college students in the company. He was not only a top producer, but developed his leadership skills as a top recruiter and manager.

A strong commitment to service, unparalleled work ethic, and top production led to a District Sales position with Southwestern, where he spent a total of ten years.

In 1997, Don transferred these successful sales and management skills to the long term care industry. He began as an agent, and within 2 years he became the Senior Vice President of Sales for Long Term Preferred Care. He led the company to consistently produce $1 million in long term care sales per week.

Today, Cornerstone is fortunate to have Don as our Vice President of Sales. Don infuses the entire company with his passion, commitment to excellence, and desire to serve people. It's all about helping others secure their future - whether it's helping clients secure their financial future, or helping new agents secure and develop a financially and emotionally rewarding career.

Don's leadership has helped establish Cornerstone as a premier agency specializing in senior-focused financial solutions. His recruiting abilities have also brought some of the best agents to Cornerstone. The result is an organization focused on people: making a better life for our clients and our people.

Don and his wife Mary make their home in Franklin, Tennessee. He enjoys scuba diving, working out, and traveling. Most of his spare time, however, is spent hanging out with his seven children. He wouldn't trade that time for the world.
